Photographer James Day was commissioned by DDB London to create this ad for the new Volkswagon Polo.
The Polo won car of the year here in New York, but it isn’t even for sale in the U.S. It scored top prize at the New York International Car Show at the Jacob Javitz Center, edging out the Toyota Prius hybrid.
Volkswagen will decide this year whether to introduce the pint-sized auto in the U.S. “It’s an emerging class” says Steve Keyes, a Volkswagen publicist. “More people are interested in a smaller car because of price and fuel economy.”
Our fingers are crossed this tough little car will make its way stateside.
